Southern Curry at Sathorn

Thai flagAt Sathorn, the restaurant known as “แกงใต้ ณ สาทร,” also referred to as Southern Curry at Sathorn, offers an authentic taste of southern cuisine. One must try the fried pork with shrimp paste, a dish that boasts a delightful combination of flavors. The restaurant is a motorbike ride away form the Kheha BTS Station.

For those looking to enjoy a special meal at the office, consider ordering the restaurant’s signature dish – rice mixed with shrimp paste. The rice is not only soft and fragrant but also blends perfectly with the accompanying side dishes, resulting in a mellow taste that is thoroughly enjoyable to chew. It’s a delightful culinary experience, and I find it quite refreshing.

The delectable flavors cater to the Southern palate, featuring a diverse menu that includes items like fried rice with shrimp paste, Pork Bone Chili Curry, stir-fried minced pork, stir-fried bean curd with shrimp paste, and minced pork. The restaurant’s aromatic dishes are infused with the rich fragrance of various spices.

Moreover, there’s an added incentive as the prices come with discounts. The overall dining experience is delightful, prompting me to frequently order from Grab, my preferred food delivery service. However, it’s disheartening to note that lately, the restaurant seems to have stopped offering its menu on Grab. Unfortunately, despite regular checks, the option for food ordering remains unavailable, leading to a sense of disappointment. See if they have changed this. Likewise explore Bangkok with a visit also to the FuramaXclusive Sathorn or the Nara.

The operating hours for the establishment are as follows:

Personally, one of my favorite dishes is the yellow curry with papaya and mixed vegetables. Recently, I opted to order it through Grab, eagerly anticipating its arrival. Despite the convenience of delivery, I am already planning to visit the restaurant the next day for a dine-in experience. The anticipation of savoring this particular dish in the restaurant itself adds an extra layer of excitement to the overall culinary journey.

Lastly also see the Ascott Sathorn as well as the Wat Suthat Thepwararam closer to Central Bangkok.
