If you are looking for a Thai restaurant in Bangkok which serves good Southern food then Phuket Town is the place to go. The restaurant serves mainly Southern dishes which you would expect in Southern Thailand. Located close to the BTS system and close to many hotels in the area, this is one place you have to try in Bangkok. You can prepare for your mouth to burn in the spicy food which is awesomely good authentic Southern Thai food.
The prices are very reasonable with a great location and they are open from about 11 in the morning until about 9 at night. The decor has a Malay influence in its design which you would find only in the Southern parts of Thailand. The restaurant is popular and well known in the area. Its very unique in its format!
If you are staying at the following hotels then the restaurant is not far from you – Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor and the City Lodge Sukhumvit 9 Hotel on the train line. You might also start your night with this restaurant before heading into the nightclub district of Thong Lor. With Blu-O bowling alley Arena 10 for night football and the Funky Villa nightclub not far away, this is a good way to start your weekend. Lastly also see the Pathumwan Princess Hotel.
The fried fish cake here is truly exceptional, possibly the finest I’ve ever tasted. If you find yourself at this establishment, I highly recommend placing an order for it. Regarding the yellow curry with fish, my personal preference leans towards the fish being just a tad overcooked. Nonetheless, the seasoning is precisely on point. The level of spiciness is moderated, making it suitable for all palates.
The coconut shake is elevated by delightful fragments of coconut flesh, a detail I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was efficient and prompt. The waitstaff exhibited a helpful demeanor, contributing to an overall pleasant experience. The closest station is the BTS Thong Lor Station which you can see on the Google map.
