Benjasiri Park

The Benjasiri Park located in central Bangkok was created in order to celebrate the 60th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Entry in to the park is free from 5am – 8pm. It has a very relaxed environment which includes sculptures, including HM’s commemorative coin. It is located close to The Emporium on Sukhumvit between Soi 22 and 24 and next to the BTS Phrom Phong station which makes it very convenient if you wish to step out of Bangkok’s rat race.

If you wish to find some off time in Bangkok then this is a good place to just site and watch the day go by. There are many paths so if you are into fitness then you can also jog around the park. There is also a small park for children with kiddie rides if you are taking young children out for the day. There is also a basketball court and a swimming pool. Its a very nice place to spend the day. There are many tall building around the park as close to sunset it gives off a beautiful yellow and red skyline across the tops of the buildings. The Imperial Queens Park Hotel is right next door and the park is a good shortcut between the BTS station and the hotel. The Holiday Inn Bangkok is also a short ride away from the park.
