The Santichai Prakan Park in Bangkok has some of the best views of any park in Thailand. If you have ever been to Lumphini Park or Benjasiri Park then you will be pleased that this park looks even better.
It has an absolutely beautiful view at night of the Chao Phraya River and the Bhumibol Bridge. The park is also popular with tourists as it is located close of Kaosan road. Santi Chaiprakarn is not only the green space of Banglamphu neighborhood but it eventually hosts a series of cultural activities (very popular) and performances (Jazz concerts) for locals and visitors at the end of the year when it is much cooler. This is normally in November and December each year.
Santichai Prakan Park is new as it was created in 1999 to celebrate HM the King’s 60th birthday. The park is also home to he historic Phra Sumane Fort, one of few old forts left in Bangkok all surrounded by tropical trees. The Chao Phraya River, Pinklao and Rama VIII bridges as a backdrop makes for excellent photos.
