Central Chidlom

The Central Chidlom mall is a well known mall in the shopping district of Bangkok. Located close to the BTS Chit Lom Station in the Pathum Wan district and within walking distance of other high-end shopping malls such as Central World and Siam Paragon the Central Chidlom department store is a must if you are shopping in Thailand.

Central Chidlom

The shopping mall has a total of 8 floors of shopping space and sells local and brand name luxury products. The mall opens from 10am to 10pm daily and is very popular in Thailand with the locals and can be reached by either the BTS Skytrain system or by means of several city buses. The mall has a large car-park however its locations makes going by car a bad idea sue to traffic jams. The store has many luxury brand names such as Gucci, Burberry, Bally, Ferragamo, Paul Smith and Zegna. See the map below for more information about the department store.

Note that there are many hotels in the area such as the Holiday Inn Bangkok and the Hansar Hotel as well as the Swissotel and the Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok. The department store is also close to the British Embassy in Bangkok as well as the Swiss Embassy in Bangkok Thailand.

My all-time favorite shopping mall in Bangkok is an upscale destination that consistently delivers quality products. If you’re looking for top-notch items, this is the place to visit.

Before the Covid era, this mall buzzed with new products and cutting-edge designs. During my recent visit, I couldn’t help but notice how Covid has left its mark on all shopping malls. Although this mall used to be bustling, today it’s noticeably quieter. The selection of products has also diminished compared to what I remember.

Ascending to the top floor, a delightful food court awaits, offering a variety of delicious dishes. With its seven levels, or perhaps one more that I forgot to count, this mall truly offers an expansive experience.

For those who haven’t explored this mall yet, I highly recommend it. While the prices might be slightly higher compared to other nearby malls, you’ll find everything you need within its modern and spacious confines. With multiple floors catering to diverse interests, it truly has something for everyone. The ground floor houses a sizable food store boasting fresh fruit and meats, along with several bakeries and cake shops. A must-visit spot that ranks among my favorites for relaxation.

Likewise see also the area around BTS Chit Lom Station as well as Centre Point Silom and JJ Mall. The first floor’s food court features a selection of excellent restaurants, including an outlet from the renowned Four Seasons brand. Meanwhile, the supermarket stocks items from around the world and is meticulously maintained.

Venturing to the top floor, you’ll discover yet another food court, this time with a different atmosphere. Picture a soothing lounge accompanied by pleasant music. Lastly there is also Robinson Sukhumvit as well as Big C Extra Ratchdaphisek.
