The Gaysorn Plaza located near the BTS Chit Lom Station is a high-end shopping complex much like Siam Paragon and CentralWorld where most of the items are imported and high-end. These malls in Thailand are good for shopping while in Thailand and are viewed by local Thai’s as ‘high-so’ stores. The type of stores where only the wealthy go.

If you are looking for authentic brand name items and goods then the Gaysorn Plaza mall is where you would want to go. It is located in the shopping district of Bangkok so you can cover all these high-end malls in a day with very little walking. The area is well known for its traffic jams so ensure that if you dont stay in the are that you can take the skytrain out of there late at night.

There are a number of Embassies in the area such as the British Embassy in Bangkok as well as the Swiss Embassy in Bangkok. The hotels in this area tend to be expensive such as the Hansar Hotel as well as the Holiday Inn Bangkok which is a mid-range hotel 100 meters away from the Gaysorn Plaza mall.

The Erawan Shrine is across the street from the mall as many tourists tend to flock to the shrine. Many imported items are for sale from Kirkland, Nutro, Acer and other brand names can be found here — at a price of course.
