The Saxophone Pub is hands down the best Jazz pub in Bangkok. Their excellent live bands are top-notch and their food is excellent. Nothing better to have than good live Jazz music with good food. If you have never been to a Jazz pub in Thailand then this should be on the top of your list.
They have regular jazz player such as Koh Saxman or Mr Saxman. The man is absolutely brilliant and very talented yet very humble when you speak to him. Rhythm Nation, JRP little big band and Bangkok Connection Band are well known in Bangkok. Below is a video on Youtube so you listen to the quality of the jazz. The music video is by Mr Saxman.
Jazz and Blues with a good ambiance cannot be beaten. Best to go early or to call them as it does get full very quickly. They open daily 06.00 PM – 01.30 AM.
The Saxophone Pub & Restaurant was opened in 1987 and was awarded with the Best Pub in Thailand Award, from Metro Magazine, United Kingdom since 1999 till the present day. The Saxophone Pub & Restaurant has become well known and famous by many expatriates and visitors to Thailand. If you are looking for high quality live bands with excellent Thai dishes along with a variety of cocktails then this is the place. Note that this restaurant is spread over 2 floors. The top floor is the best and has a good view of the bands. The seating is Japanese Style which is unique to the pub.
