Phraek Sa BTS Station

The Phraek Sa BTS Station, a recent addition to the BTS Skytrain network, is strategically located near the Robinson and Big C department stores. This prime location makes it a convenient spot for the residents of Samut Prakan, who now have easy access to these popular shopping destinations.

Phraek Sa BTS Station

The station, which opened its doors on December 6, 2018, as part of a 13-kilometer eastern extension, has quickly gained popularity among the locals. The free rides offered until April 16, 2019, certainly played a part in attracting commuters. The station is a part of the Sukhumvit Line and is sandwiched between the Srinagarindra station towards Khu Khot and the Sai Luat station towards Kheha Station.

But the Phraek Sa station is more than just a transportation hub. It’s a center of prosperity and a popular meeting point for the locals. With the Robinson Lifestyle Samut Prakan Mall on one side and the Big C Supercenter Samut Prakan on the other, it’s a bustling spot for shopping and dining. The station’s location and the amenities it offers have made it a favorite among the people of Samut Prakan. Likewise see also the Robinson Sukhumvit as well as the Robinson Rama 9 and the Robinson Bangrak stores.

The station’s aesthetic appeal is another factor that adds to its charm. The view from the station is quite beautiful, adding another dimension to the overall experience of the commuters. Despite its popularity and the multitude of services it offers, the station maintains a sense of tranquility, making it a pleasant space amidst the urban hustle.

Hotels

In the vicinity of the station, there are several accommodations available for those who wish to stay close by. The Rooms @ Sai Luat BTS is a new accommodation that is not too expensive and offers a very good bed. It’s located next to the BTS and near the Robinson department store. It’s also near the Black Market, making it easy to find things to eat. The accommodation offers reserved parking, an elevator, and hot water.

Another option is the Baan Paknam Hotel, which offers well-appointed rooms. Even though the bed is a little firm, as is commonplace in Thailand, everything in the room works well. The mirrored wardrobe door might give you a little fright when you close the room door and see yourself!

Restaurants

For those who love food, there are several restaurants in the area. Steak Lung Yik is a shop located near the canal waterfront. The cool breeze and the view of the electric train passing by make it a great place to dine. The shop has seats both downstairs and on the second floor, with the view being a bit better from the second floor.

Another popular restaurant is Khun Moo Krathong Grill Buffet. The meat is very good and the food is delicious. All three sauces are delicious and the large piece of bacon is a hit. The staff are lovely and provide good service. The quality of the food is beyond the price.

Markets

The Black Market is a local market that you might come across by accident after dropping out of a random BTS station. It has an excellent chill vibe and is well patronized by local residents. It has a negligible presence of foreign tourists and offers many things to eat at cheap prices.

In addition to the Phraek Sa BTS Station, there are several other notable places in Samut Prakan. One such place is the Samut Prakan Market, which is known for its cheap and varied selection of fresh seafood. It’s a great place for locals to do their marketing.

Furthermore, the Hua Ko Market is another famous fresh market where you can shop for fresh seafood, vegetables, and fruits. It also offers otop samutprakarn. For those who drive, parking is conveniently provided right next to the market. The market is located on the river bank and is easily accessible via the BTS green line; just get off at the “pak nam” station.

From 4pm onwards, the Racha Market comes alive with a lane full of local street food vendors selling traditional and authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. It’s an awesome place to experience the local cuisine.

The Pak Nam Market is one of my favorite morning markets. Here, you can find the best moo ping in Thailand, among many other delicious food stalls like Kow moo daeng and cafe bolan. It’s a culinary delight!

Temples

Samut Prakan is also home to several temples. The Wat Klang Worawihan, located on Si Samut Road, Tambon Pak Nam, is a temple from the late Ayutthaya period. Another notable religious site is the City Pillar Shrine Paknam, located on Prakhon Chai road. Known to locals as Paknam, it’s unusual because it’s a combination of a Chinese Shrine and a Thai city pillar. This shrine is regarded as the foundation stone for Samut Prakan City.

The Robinson Lifestyle Samut Prakan is the best-known place for shopping, dining, and activities for kids in the Samut Prakan area. It’s just a 2-minute walk from BTS Phreak Sa. You will have Big C on the other side and a night market just beside it. It’s an excellent place for families and there are events while we visited.

In conclusion, the Phraek Sa BTS Station, with its strategic location and the variety of services it offers, has transformed the way the people of Samut Prakan commute, shop, and socialize. It stands as a testament to the positive impact of well-planned urban development. If you have any other questions about the station or its surroundings, feel free to ask. Likewise around Bangkok there is also the Krua Sa Ros Jad Restaurant as well as the The Junction Pullman Bangkok.
